Biknd Helium Travel Case Review

When you see the Biknd Travel Case for the first time you have to say "why didn't I think of that?" It's one of those products thats so right.

Lightweight, offers max protection, easy to wheel around a busy airport, holds two pair of wheels and almost any bike. Small enough to fit into a euro car when you are traveling and it's way good looking.

On the down side, it requires the bike be disassembled to the point that a novice mechanic might have a hard time getting it back on the road. I do not think it possible to get around this, to get the case small enough and for the bike to remain protected it's going to have to be taken apart to at least this point.

The frame is secured to the hard plastic base with the fork fastened by a dummy quick release, handlebars are removed and strapped to the fork. Crank is covered with padding and the rear drop-outs are strapped down to the base with yet another dummy quick release. The inflatable sides each hold a pair of wheels if needed or a single pair on one side and all you"stuff can go on the other. It's genius - watch the video don't take my word for it.

On the upside, the quality strapping and padding for stem, fork blades, crank etc. Really protect the bike and hold everything in place. After a few trips with the case you get into the groove and have a routine, knowing exactly what works best for your bike.

If you are traveling and looking at cases your search is over. Nothing comes close.
